Growing up, I was fascinated by technology and its impact on the world. My teenage years were spent building football robots and dabbling with computers. That led me to study engineering and computer science. Along the way, I became politicized and politically active. After some years developing software for hospitals I decided to switch career and become a doctor. I am still fascinated by technology but more by the so-called primitive kind: think of scythes instead of robotic lawn mowers.
